Trade Organizations We Support
International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Union
Lincoln Electric has had a long relationship with the Iron Workers International Union. From supporting the organization's welding instructor training program, welder apprentice contests and welding curriculum development, this relationship has turned into a true welding training partnership.
International Brotherhood of Boilermakers
The welding training partnership between Lincoln Electric and the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers has grown from supporting the union's international welding apprenticeship program to establishing national and regional Tripartites and welder training programs.
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW)
The welding training partnership between the IBEW and Lincoln Electric continues to grow. Whether it is Lincoln Electric conducting the Welding Fundamentals class in Ann Arbor, MI at the annual NTI Instructor Training Program, or hosting welding training programs for IBEW Instructors at the Lincoln Electric Welding School in Cleveland, OH, the partnership gains momentum with each passing year.
International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC)
Lincoln Electric's welding training partnership with the International Union of Elevator Constructors and the NEIEP has been growing. The partnership encompasses everything from the development of mobile welding trailers to recently hosting IUEC member welder training programs at the Lincoln Electric Welding School in Cleveland, OH.
International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE)
Lincoln Electric and the International Union of Operating Engineers have been working together on several local and regional programs. These include programs where the IUOE is working together with other building trades as well as welder apprentice programs.
Sheet Metal Workers’ International Association (SMWIA)
Lincoln Electric and the Sheetmetal Workers International Union have developed both a training and business partnership over the last several years. Whether it is Lincoln Electric assisting with the welding training programs at the national training center in Las Vegas or the Sheetmetal Workers Union installing a Lincoln Electric fume system at a local training center, the partnership continues to expand in scope.
The Union Sportsmen's Alliance (USA)
Lincoln Electric's partnership with the Union Sportsman Alliance (USA) started with the organization's inception. Lincoln Electric has partnered with the USA (a union member-only sportsman’s group) by supporting dinners, shoots and other events that are held across the country annually.
United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry (UA)
The United Association (UA) and Lincoln Electric have been working together for many years. Lincoln Electric continues to support the UA at both local and national programs across the country. This includes the welding instructor training program in Ann Arbor, MI, welder apprentice competitions, welding curriculum development and supporting the Veterans in Piping program (VIP).
United Brotherhood of Carpenters (UBC)
Lincoln Electric and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters have been working together to provide UBC members with the latest in welding safety and technology. The most recent project was the development of the Advanced Welding curriculum. In addition, Lincoln Electric has held regional weld technology programs and participated in welding open houses across the country.
