Hand-held Plasma Cutters

Teach Students to Hand-Cut Metal with Tomahawk® Plasma Cutters

Lincoln Electric’s hand-held plasma cutters enable educators to prep welding students to hand-cut metal – in the shop, on the job site or in a production environment. From affordable units for light-duty applications to heavy-duty systems that produce superior cuts that minimize secondary finishing, Lincoln Electric offers a hand-held plasma cutter for all career applications. Integrated Parts-in-Place technologies detect consumables and torch installation errors for added safety.

Portable Cutting Systems Go Anywhere, Anytime

  • Continuous output control allows operators to focus the arc for different material thicknesses
  • Cutting Materials: mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper
  • Parts-in-Place system detects correct installation of consumables and torch
  • New electrode and nozzle design save money in the long run
  • Select a Lincoln Electric Ranger® or Vantage® Engine Drive to power a Tomahawk® in remote locations

For Light-Duty Cutting

  • Cuts up to 3/8-inch material at maximum output
  • Can be used with external compressed air or internal air compressor
  • Internal air compressor allows operation in environments where external compressed air is not available or convenient
  • Fast cutting through gaps, even expanded metal
  • Application training scenarios: on-site maintenance, small construction sites, air-ducting installation (HVAC), demolition work

For Light- to Medium-Duty Cutting

  • Cuts up to 5/8-inch material at maximum output
  • Use for gouging in addition to plasma cutting
  • Includes Touch Start System that provides reliable plasma arc initiation without high frequency
  • Front Panel Purge Control makes it easy to set the air flow rate without initiating the plasma arc
  • Application training scenarios: on-site maintenance, small construction sites, air-ducting installation (HVAC), demolition work

For Medium-Duty Cutting

  • Cuts up to 1-inch material at maximum output
  • Use for gouging in addition to plasma cutting
  • PowerConnect® Technology automatically senses and adjusts to input power
  • Front Panel Purge Control makes it easy to set the air flow rate without initiating the plasma arc
  • Includes Touch Start System that provides reliable plasma arc initiation without high frequency
  • Application training scenarios: on-site maintenance, service tasks, construction sites, demolition work, production/fabrication

For Heavy-Duty Cutting

  • Cuts up to 1 ¼-inch material at maximum output
  • Creates the cleanest cuts possible
  • Ideal for fine artwork or fabricating steel in a production setting
  • Use for gouging and grid-cutting in addition to plasma cutting
  • Available with a 25 ft. or 50 ft. hand torch
  • Application training scenarios: steel fabrication, pipe cutting, structural steel fabrication, automotive/transportation, construction, shipbuilding, steel service center, artwork and signs, demolition and scrapping, maintenance and repair, HVAC
